How to automatically get an email reminder in Outlook one day before a recurring Google Calendar event

After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

To setup this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Recurring event upcoming" under Google Calendar. Then, select details like event type and trigger timing. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the recurring upcoming events in Google Calendar and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a Google Calendar integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

Integrate the Outlook automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sending of an email via Outlook, 1 day before the recurring upcoming event.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Send email" automation for Outlook and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Outlook account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Outlook account.

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the sending of an email via Outlook. Once turned on, it will respond before 1 day of recurring upcoming event in Google Calendar by sending an email via Outlook without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
