We’re building an automation tool that users love

We Love Building Productivity Tools

It’s immensely satisfying to craft something that people rely on for their life’s work every day, and it’s even more fun when we can deliver something that really saves them time and helps them produce better work. We’ve led some of the biggest products in the world, including Gmail and Google Calendar, we’ve studied productivity academically, and we’ve built startups to develop all kinds of new tools. Through that experience, we learned a few things that made us want to build Relay.app.

  1. Cross-product workflows are under-appreciated. There are a ton of people working to make it a little faster to write a sales email, but in a world where we’re all using dozens of tools every day, most of our painful workflows need to cut across them.
  2. Automation is magic. Helping people get more done in a product is nice, but working on their behalf while they’re sleeping is 10x more powerful.
  3. AI is going to be huge, but we still need human judgment. We’re as excited about AI as everyone else is, and we want to create the easiest to use, most flexible ways to build AI into workflows. But we also recognize that people need to stay in control, so the human-in-the-loop experience is at least as important.

We Hire Amazing People and Let Them Deliver

We’re a fully remote company, and we’re distributed across North America and Europe. We hire senior people that can work autonomously, give them a huge scope, and get out of their way. No matter what your title and role was at your previous company, you get to be an IC at Relay.app and do real work - writing code, making designs, creating content - all day. Our calendars are empty but the activity in Figma and Github will make you think we’re several times bigger.

We’re Backed by Top Investors

We’ve raised $8.2m in seed funding from Khosla Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Neo, Boxgroup SV Angel, and a number of great angel investors.

Just ran my first automation workflow with @relay !

I wanted to send newsletters from Outlook to Notion, and it was so easy I almost cried—after struggling and giving up with other tools like Make.

Huge thanks to @relay for empowering non-tech folks like me!

Falling in love with @relay. Tried make and zapier and this uiux worked the simplest. It gets the job done.

Automated our waitlist collection and replying process.
Used gpt in the workflow to parse the replies to our waitlist email qtns & saved them into our notion database.

I truly appreciate how @relay presents testing info. You can easily see what you are testing, and the messages are very clear if there's an error.

They are definitely creating a fantastic tool!

Relay's "human in the loop" model is super effective for teams. Not only is this the best designed UI for automation building on the market, they've really thought about how not everything can be automated. Fantastic for building operationalized SOPs.

If you’re never heard of @relay you’re missing out BIG TIME.

Relay.app is an automation app that has been getting a lot of traction lately.
And for good reason.

What makes them unique on the market is their Human-In-The-Loop functionality.

This functionality basically allows your company to add intermediate manual steps that can add unique judgment, context, and perspective.

🌟 How do you become a love-brand?

Let’s take a cue from the amazing folks at Relay.app. Here’s what they’ve mastered:

1. Solve a huge challenge and make a difference: In a sea of automation tools, they stand out by keeping the human in the loop. Genious idea. 🤝

2. Deliver fast: Got an idea or request for a new integration? They respond faster to those requests than any software vendor I’ve ever encountered. By responding I don't necessarily mean "deliver", but taking me and my idea seriously. 🚀

3. Deliver before you ask: They’ve asked for favors from us ambassadors, yet they always deliver first and exceed expectations. Example: A more sophisticated way to publish Notion properties was enhanced "over night". 🌟

4. Ensure your client has value before you send your invoice: They prioritize client success over immediate billing. And once as a client I had the impact, we finalised the invoicing. (Yes, I knew the price tag beforehand) 📈

5. Build an exclusive community of kind people: Everyone at Relay.app is incredibly nice, helpful, and supportive. It’s clear these traits were key in selecting their ambassadors. And I'm grateful to be part of their community. 🌍

Thanks to Relay.app setting the bar high with these genius steps! 👏

Solved what other automation platforms couldn’t

The team at Relay.app has been incredibly helpful with troubleshooting and helping us set up workflows that solved problems we couldn't quite figure out with other solutions.

Not coming back to Zapier

Using Relay.app is almost like having an additional engineer on our team. I once contacted the support team asking if it would be possible to integrate GPT4 into one of my workflows. It wasn't implemented but the team actually pushed the changes 2h later. I was really impressed!

Amazing workflow automation with powerful human intervention

Their speed of developing new integrations, the existing set of integrations, their fast and human support, it saves us hours daily, it is also very simple to implement.

Hands down, best workflow automation available!

We are integrating Asana with Linear. Not many workflow automation tools exist for Linear. We tried 2 or 3 others with no success. Relay.app worked perfectly and is so much easier to use.

And I can't say enough about their support. We actually ran into 3 bugs while creating our workflow and Relay.app actually fixed all 3 bugs that same day. I was amazed.

No need to look further, Relay.app is it!

I like the clean UI—it is less cluttered than Zapier and I feel it would have been easier to learn on if it was my first time using this type of product.

Relay.app Review: A Game Changer in Business Automation

Relay.app stands out in the no-code business automation landscape, primarily due to its innovative human-in-the-loop capabilities. This feature allows the system to pause a workflow until specific criteria are met—whether that involves a data update or a human decision—making it uniquely adaptable and responsive compared to other tools. Additionally, Relay.app's customer support is unparalleled. Their team provides the most attentive and effective service I've experienced among no-code platforms, addressing issues swiftly and with a personal touch.

Easy to integrate and explore

I have used a few different apps of similar types, however the hardest part is how overwhelming the possibilities are. I feel that Relay guides you and helps you, without limiting what you can do. It just the right amount of everything–very easy to navigate as well. Thank you
