1

Create your playbook

To automate this workflow, you'll create a Relay playbook that triggers automatically with each new booking on Calendly.

Get started by signing up at Relay.app and clicking "New playbook." Give your new playbook a distinctive name and an emoji.

2

Add the Calendly trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger observes changes in your connected apps and initiates your playbook accordingly.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Calendly: Newly scheduled events." Then, choose the specific details like the event type and whether you also want to trigger for events scheduled in other people's calendars. If it's your first time linking Calendly to Relay, you'll be asked to connect your Calendly account.

Now, your playbook will activate automatically each time a new event is scheduled in Calendly.

3

Add the Attio Create or update record automation

Now you can create the Attio person record. Add a new step and select "Create or update record" from Attio's list of automations.

If you haven't connected Attio to Relay yet, do so now, then provide the necessary details such as the object (person in this case), matching attribute to find existing records by (here it's the email address), and any attributes that should be added to the new or updated records. You have the ability to reference fields from Calendly to automate the transfer of the correct data.

4

Turn on the playbook

When you have finished setting up the playbook, it's time to activate it.

The playbook will operate on its own each time a new event is scheduled in Calendly. Additionally, you have the option to click "Check now" for a manual review at your convenience.
