How to automatically add rows in Google Sheets for every update of a Pipedrive person

Are you tired of spending hours manually transferring your contacts from Pipedrive to Google Sheets? Create your Relay playbook

To start you need to follow a few steps that synchronize Pipedrive with Google Sheets for your workflow.

Firstly, create a Relay account and go to your dashboard. Then, click the "New playbook" button to create a playbook.

Give your playbook a unique name like "Update Google Sheets row for Pipedrive person updates" and select an appropriate emoji ✍🏻 to easily recognize it.


Set the Pipedrive trigger as “Person updated”

Add the Pipedrive trigger to initiate your playbook's actions.

To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Person updated" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Pipedrive. It will enable your playbook to identify newly updated people and trigger necessary actions automatically.

If you have yet to connect your Pipedrive account to Relay, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.


Add the “Update row” automation in Google Sheets

Integrate the Google Sheets automation into your playbook.

To add a step to your playbook, select "Add Step" and look for the "Get row" automation. Then, choose the table and sheet you want to work with; for example, let's say you want to work with the "Contacts" table. Once you've chosen the table and sheet, you must select an identifier in the "Add filter" from your sheet data to match the Pipedrive data. In this example, the identifier is "Name".

Afterward, add another step to your playbook by selecting "Update row." Next, click on all the relevant fields and fill in the necessary details such as Email, First name, Label, Last name, Name, Notes, Organization, and Phone.

If you still need to connect your Google Sheets account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to update rows through your Google Sheets account.


Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step to update a row for your person's profile record from Pipedrive to Google Sheets without manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button in the header. Before starting it, we recommend running a test to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
