How to automatically add new Airtable records to your Notion database

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Notion, Airtable, and many other apps.

1

Add the Airtable trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Record created" under Airtable. Then, select a table as your input. If this is your first time using an Airtable integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Airtable account.

Every time a new record is created in Airtable, your playbook will run automatically.

2

Add the Notion "Add to database" automation

Now, you can add a new entry to your Notion database. Add a further step and select "Add to database" from the list of Notion automations.

Connect Notion to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the details like database and properties as your input. You can reference fields from Airtable to pass along the correct data automatically.

3

Turn on the playbook

When you are done with the playbook, it's time to turn it on.

The playbook will run automatically whenever a new record is created in Airtable. You can also click "Check now" to manually check whenever you'd like.
