How to automate Slack Notifications for New Customers

Create a playbook to automatically notify your team in Slack when a new customer is created in Stripe.

Create your playbook

To automate this workflow, you'll create a Relay playbook that runs automatically every time a new customer is created in Stripe.

Get started by signing up at Relay.app and clicking "New playbook." Give your new playbook a unique name and emoji.

Add the Stripe trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. This trigger will detect when a new customer is created in Stripe.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Customer created" under Stripe. If this is your first time using a Stripe integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Stripe account.

Configure the Slack message

Now you can set up the message you want to send to your team in Slack. Add a new step and select "Send message via bot" from the list of Slack automations.

Then fill out the details of the message, including the right channel. You can reference fields from Stripe to automatically pass along the right data.

Turn on the playbook

When you are done with the playbook, it's time to turn it on.

The playbook will now run automatically whenever a new customer is created in Stripe. You can also click "Check now" to do a manual check any time.
