How to automate sending an email for every new CallRail inbound call

Learn how to set up a Relay playbook that automatically sends an email whenever there's a new inbound call in CallRail. When you have an inbound call available for review, you'll want to know about it. This integration helps by automatically sending a Gmail email with the details of the call in CallRail. It's never been easier to review inbound calls.

Add the CallRail "New inbound call" trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "New inbound call" under CallRail. Then, select the account. This trigger will automatically detect all the inbound calls received in CallRail to send emails in Gmail.

If this is your first time using a CallRail integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your CallRail account.

Add the Gmail "Send email" automation

Integrate the Gmail automation into your playbook to ensure the email notification is promptly sent for every inbound call received in CallRail. Add a new step and select "Send email" from the list of Gmail automations.

Connect Gmail to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from CallRail to automatically pass along the right data.

Turn on the playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate sending an email in Gmail for every new inbound call received in CallRail. Once turned on, it will respond to new inbound calls received in CallRail by sending a new email in Gmail without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are sent correctly.
