Create your Relay.app playbook

To start coordinating your workflow between Salesforce and Slack, you must set up specific steps.

Firstly, sign up for Relay.app and visit your dashboard. Click the "New playbook" button to start creating a playbook.

Give your playbook a unique name like "Send messages when Salesforce Opportunity stages change," and choose a relevant emoji like đź“© to help you quickly identify it.

Set the Salesforce trigger as “Opportunity stage changed”

Add the Salesforce trigger to initiate your playbook's actions when Opportunity stages change.

To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Opportunity stage changed" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Salesforce. It will enable your playbook to automatically identify newly changed opportunity stages and trigger necessary actions.

If you still need to connect your Salesforce account to Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

Add the “Send message” step in Slack

Integrate Slack automation into your playbook to ensure that you receive timely updates when Salesforce Opportunity stages change.

Select "Add Step" and then find the "Send message" automation for Slack. Enter all the required details, including the sender's name, the Slack channel for updates, and the message body containing detailed information.

If you still need to connect your Slack account to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Ensure that you allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to send messages through your Slack account.

Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step in the process. Once you turn it on, it will automatically send Slack messages to a channel when Salesforce Opportunity stages change without requiring manual intervention.
