How to sync Salesforce opportunities to Airtable records

Learn how to set up a Relay playbook that automatically adds records to Airtable each time a certain opportunity stage is reached in Salesforce. This process ensures efficient tracking and management of sales data.

Create your playbook

To automate this workflow, you'll create a Relay playbook that runs automatically every time the opportunity stage is reached in Salesforce.

Get started by signing up at and clicking "New playbook." Give your new playbook a unique name and emoji.


Add the Salesforce trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Opportunity stage reached" under Salesforce. Then, set the stage. If this is your first time using a Salesforce integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Salesforce account.

Every time the opportunity stage is reached in Salesforce, your playbook will run automatically.


Add the Airtable "Add record" automation

Now, you can add a new record to Airtable by selecting "Add record" from the list of Airtable automations.

Connect Airtable to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the details like table and fields. You can reference fields from Salesforce to pass along the correct data automatically.


Turn on the playbook

When you are done with the playbook, it's time to turn it on.

The playbook will now run automatically whenever the opportunity stage is reached in Salesforce. You can also click "Check now" to do a manual check whenever you'd like.
