How to send new emails in Outlook for new rows in a Coda table

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Outlook Mail, Coda, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “send email” action in Outlook Mail for each row added in Coda using Relay.app.

1

Add the Coda trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. This trigger detects all the new rows added in your Coda table.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Row added to table" under Coda. Then, select the specific table you want to monitor. If this is your first time using a Coda integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Coda account.

Now, every time a row is added to a table in Coda, your playbook will run automatically.

2

Add the Outlook "Send email" automation

Now, all the new customers added to the Coda table will automatically be sent an email via Outlook. Add a new step and select "Send email" from the list of Outlook automations.

Connect Outlook to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the necessary details. You can reference fields from Coda to automatically pass along the right data.

3

Turn on the playbook

When you are done with the playbook, it's time to turn it on.

The playbook will now run automatically whenever a new row is added to a table in Coda. You can also click "Check now" to do a manual check whenever you'd like.
