How to automatically set up a new customer profile in Stripe for every new Pipedrive deal

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Pipedrive, Stripe, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “create customer” action in Stripe for each deal added in Pipedrive using Relay.app.

1

Set the Pipedrive trigger as “Deal added”

Add the Pipedrive trigger to initiate your playbook's actions.

To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Deal added" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Pipedrive. It will enable your playbook to identify newly added deals and trigger necessary actions automatically.

If you have yet to connect your Pipedrive account to Relay, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the “Create customer” automation in Stripe

Integrate the Stripe automation into your playbook to ensure you create a customer's profile out of the added deal in Pipedrive.

Select "Add Step" and then search for the "Create customer" automation for Stripe. Fill in all the relevant details, including the customer's name, email, and description.

If you still need to connect your Stripe account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to create customers through your Stripe account.

3

Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step in your process. Once you turn it on, the playbook automatically creates customers in Stripe for every deal added in Pipedrive without manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button in the header. Before starting it, we recommend running a test to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
