How to automatically create a new customer in Paddle from a new message received in Front

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Paddle, Front, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “get or create customer” action in Paddle for each message received in Front using Relay.app.

1

Set the Front trigger as "Message received"

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Message received" under Front. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect every received message in Front and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a Front integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the "Get or create customer" in Paddle automation

Integrate the Paddle automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new customer in Paddle when there's a newly received message in Front.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Get or create customer" automation for Paddle and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Paddle account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Paddle account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new customer in Paddle. Once turned on, it will respond to newly received messages in Front by creating a new customer in Paddle without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
