Add the Mailchimp trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "New subscriber" under Mailchimp. Then, select the specific audience you want to monitor. If this is your first time using a Mailchimp integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Mailchimp account.

Now, whenever a new subscriber joins your Mailchimp list, your playbook will activate automatically.

2

Add the Airtable Add record automation

Now you can set up the action to add a new record in Airtable. Add a new step and select "Add record" from the list of Airtable automations.

Connect Airtable to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the necessary details like Table and Fields. You can reference fields from Mailchimp to automatically pass along the relevant data.

3

Turn on the playbook

When you have finished setting up the playbook, it's time to switch it on.

The playbook will now operate automatically whenever a new subscriber is added to your Mailchimp list. You also have the option to click "Check now" and manually initiate the workflow whenever you wish.
