Add post to Content Planner

Import and analyze your LinkedIn posts by automatically extracting them into a Notion database. Here's how it works:

  • You provide your LinkedIn profile URL to start the workflow
  • The workflow retrieves up to 50 of your recent LinkedIn posts
  • Each post is filtered to exclude reposts and only include content you authored
  • Posts are added to a Notion database with metrics like likes, comments, and publish date for analysis

Trigger

Manually starts the workflow by providing your LinkedIn profile URL through a form. The URL should be entered without a trailing slash.

Retrieves LinkedIn posts from the provided profile URL. The step is configured to fetch up to 50 recent posts from the profile.

Iterator

Processes each LinkedIn post individually in parallel. The iterator allows subsequent steps to act on each post separately.

Only check posts I wrote (no reposts!)

Filters out reposts to ensure only original content is processed. Posts are skipped if the author URL doesn't match your profile URL.

Extract content for post title

Creates a title for each post by extracting the first 45 characters of the post text. Line breaks are replaced with spaces and ellipsis is added at the end.

Add post to Content Planner

Adds each LinkedIn post to a Notion database page with the post content, extracted title, and engagement metrics. The database connection should be configured during workflow setup.

As an entrepreneur, I kept hearing the LinkedIn gospel: post daily at 8 am or kiss your business goodbye. That's not my stile, so instead I did what any data-nerd would: looked at the numbers to gauge what the fuss is all about. Drawing on my past life implementing the world's best social media tools, I built a lightweight Relay.app workflow that pulls my last 50 posts into a custom Notion dashboard. In seconds I can see which topics land, when my audience is most responsive, and how engagement is trending - proof that even my sporadic posting is paying off.

The template below includes my real stats (feel free to snoop). Duplicate it, swap in your own 50 posts, and you’ll get the same insights. From there, the sky’s the limit: spin up a tone-of-voice doc, schedule future content, or automate your next big idea. Dive in, experiment, and let me know what you discover!!
