Add the Tally "New form submission" trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "New form submission" under Tally. Then, select a form. This trigger will automatically detect all the new form submitted in Tally to create new Slack channel.

If this is your first time using a Tally integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Tally account.

2

Add the Slack "Create channel" automation

Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new channel in Slack for a newly submitted form in Tally. Add a new step and select "Create channel" from the list of Slack automations.

Connect Slack to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Tally to automatically pass along the right data.

3

Turn on the playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step Once turned on, it will respond to newly submitted forms received in Tally by creating a new channel in Slack without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
