Create your playbook and set the Todoist trigger as "Recurrent Task completed"

After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

To set up this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Recurrent Task completed" under Todoist. Then, select details like project and task. If this is your first time using a Todoist integration in Relay.app, you'll be prompted to connect your Todoist account.

Now, every time a task is created in Todoist, your playbook will run automatically.

2

Add the "Send message" in Slack automation

Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sending of a Slack message to the team when a recurrent task is completed in Todoist.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Send message" automation for Slack and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Slack account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Slack account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the sending of a message to a specific channel on Slack. Once turned on, it will respond whenever a recurrent task is completed in Todoist by sending a message to a specific channel on Slack without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
