How to automatically send a Slack message when Help Scout conversation tags change

Add the Help Scout "Conversation tags changed" trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Conversation tags changed" under Help Scout. Then, select the relevant details. This trigger will detect all the changes in conversation tags in Help Scout to automatically send a message in Slack.

If this is your first time using a Help Scout integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Help Scout account.

Add the Slack "Send message" automation

Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sent of message in Slack for every conversation tag changes in Help Scout. Add a new step and select "Send message" from the list of Slack automations.

Connect Slack to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Help Scout to automatically pass along the right data.

Turn on the playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the sending of new messages in Slack for every change in conversation tags in Help Scout. Once turned on, it will respond to detected changes in conversation tags in Help Scout by sending a message notification in Slack without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are sent correctly.
